Handpans | Koala
The Handpan "koala" is a musical instrument with a distinctive, soft-yet-metallic tone. It was modeled after the tongue drum, a musical instrument that was originally constructed from an empty gas can.
Even a basic beat can produce a lovely, melodious tune when you strike the specifically designed, metallic soundbox with your finger. This piece of equipment is perfect for generating impromptu music in a park or on a playground. Regardless of musical ability, every child will enjoy playing the handpan. Its sound blends beautifully with other outdoor instruments, like the marimba's "calypso" or the "forest" of tubular bells. It could be a good idea to include a bench so that playing the instrument is more comfortable.
The instrument can be fixed to the ground with two anchoring systems:
Concrete anchor – ensures a professional and stable installation of the instruments on soft surfaces (e.g. lawn, sand)
Flat anchor – the best solution to install instruments on hard surfaces (e.g. concrete)
